EP-ST Series

Features > Options > Specifications > Pricing

EP-ST Series sprue pickers from Economizer are available with an optional two-stage telescopic vertical arm for minimizing required overhead clearance and higher speeds. Units are available with vertical strokes up to 950 mm.

The main arm safety lock prevents the arm from descending in the event of air pressure loss, and a pressure differential switch for sprue/runner detection on gripper eliminates mechanical switches and increases reliability. The EP-ST Series comes standard withB-90 wrist rotation and audible and visual alarms for operator alerts.

The main arm swing angle is adjustable from 45 degrees to 90 degrees, with an effective payload of 6 lbs. The compressed air requirement is 60 to 90 psi, and the power requirement is 120 or 240 VAC, approximately 40 VA.

Features

State of the Art Control. The state of the art pendant controller features 10 standard sequences and 10 user-programmable sequences. The controller has two spare outputs and one spare input, as well as built-in help and diagnostics, and a standard SPI interface with connector.

Telescopic Vertical Arm [optional]. Vertical motions ride on linear bearings, which allow for lower profiles with increased speed and rigidity.

Easy Mechanical Adjustment of Mold Entry Position. Rack-and-pinion motion with scale makes set-up quick and easy.

Pivoting Base. The pivoting base of all EP Series pickers is easy to adjust and allows the robots to pivot out of the way for mold changes.

Patented Gripper. The patented sprue gripper is strong and compact. No verification switch adjustments are needed, thanks to the use of a pressure differential switch.
